Image Types

There are typically 2 kinds of event images that you may access:

1. Polarization Brightness (pB) images [Mark-III K-coronameter]
These images are white light pB [polarization*Brightness] intensities. The units [Bsun] are relative to the average solar disk brightness.

2. H-alpha images [Digital Prominence Monitor: DPM or PICS]
In some cases, there may also be corresponding H-Alpha [530.3 nm] disk and/or limb images for an event.

Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) Catalogues [Mark-III]

Coronal Mass Ejection event catalogues are currently available only in Postscript format.
